HAVE YOUR SAY: Help shape the design of the future Molonglo Valley Library

Planning is underway for the future Molonglo Valley library, and you’re invited to have your say!

The Molonglo Valley library will be an important community resource for Canberra’s fastest‑growing and culturally diverse new urban district. It will offer access to library collections, areas for community use and a space for community services to meet the needs of a population of up to 70,000 by 2050.

The new library and community hub will be located in the heart of the future Molonglo Valley group centre. It will be an important resource for not only Molonglo Valley residents but the wider Canberra community.

Early engagement with the Canberra community will help shape the design of the future library including its range of facilities and look and feel.

Canberrans are invited to have their say via an online survey and vision board or by visiting their local library branch or attending one of the community pop-ups.

You can share your thoughts on the types of spaces and community facilities the future library should include, including what the buildings should look like. If you’d like to see a podcast studio, community art space, outdoor areas, a café or other facilities – now’s the time to let us know.

There’s also an online kids’ corner for primary school aged children to share what their ideal library of the future looks like – as well as community pop-ups and interactive displays in library branches across Canberra.
