Charles James Johnston Watson of Brisbane visited family in Canberra in the summer of 1964/1965. He was the father-in-law of Professor Ken Campbell of the Australian National University. The photographs, probably taken in late 1964, show an almost filled Lake Burley Griffin and the growing infrastructure around the Lake basin.
