Geri-Fit is a free strength-training program for people aged 60 years and over
Delivered through Libraries ACT, Geri-Fit is a seated exercise program that uses light weights and resistance bands to help participants build strength, improve mobility and maintain independence.
Designed specifically for older adults, the program supports healthy ageing by focusing on gentle, effective strength training that can improve everyday function, balance and overall wellbeing. Sessions are delivered in a safe, supportive and social environment, making it easy for participants to stay active while connecting with others in their community.
Geri-Fit is suitable for a range of fitness levels and offers proven physical and social benefits to help older Canberrans stay strong, active and connected.
