Vital Records

The Australian Capital Territory began registering Births, Deaths and Marriages on 1 Jan 1930 under the (Federal Capital Territory Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Act, 1929).  Prior to 1930, all ACT births, deaths and marriages were registered in NSW.

Military Service

The ACT Memorial honours local men and women who served in conflicts, peacekeeping missions and related service throughout the world, some of whom paid the supreme sacrifice.
