The Articles of Association state that the purpose of the association is “Community arts, which includes community –theatre, increases the confidence and the competency of individuals in the community to make their own art. It fosters a sense of enriching and enlivening the arts and the culture of the arts.”

“To provide a channel for groups with the community to explore, discover, develop and express their own culture and identity.”

The Association was originally called ‘Tau Community Theatre Association Inc’ (Aboriginal) now incorporated under the name ‘Upfront Community Theatre Association Inc’ as at 14 March 1991.

This collection requires significant appraisal and arrangement. Much of the financial material, in particular, is irrelevant and uneccessary to be kept.
