Anne Edgeworth, also known as Anne Godfrey-Smith (30/11/1921-15/06/2011) was a poet, author, broadcaster, environmentalist, theatre director and producer.  Her association with theatre in Canberra began in the 1953 when she was appointed fullt-time manager-producer of the Canberra Repertory Society. 

This collection consists of theatrical programs for performances in and around Canberra from the 1970s to the 1990s and of draft entries researched and written by Anne Edgeworth for submission to the Companion to Theatre in Australia, published by Currency Press in 1995.  Her entries are about the performing arts in Canberra and include entries on the groups and individuals involved.

Files of programs are not comprehensive collections for the periods described.

An obituary appeared in The Canberra Times 23 July 2011.
