ACT Heritage Library Publications Collections
The ACT Heritage Library houses a diverse collection of books, serials, DVDs, videos, and grey literature that documents the history and development of Canberra and the ACT.
All items can be searched through the Libraries ACT online catalogue. While most items are available for use only at the ACT Heritage Library, some can be accessed online via National eDeposit or have been digitised and attached to the catalogue record.
We also offer two lending collections:
- ACT Heritage Library Lending Collection: This includes works of interest to local researchers and family historians.
- Local Author Showcase: Located at the Civic branch, this collection features recent works by local authors.
Both lending collections are searchable through the Libraries ACT online catalogue. Items can be requested for collection at any Libraries ACT branch and borrowed for up to four weeks.
To limit your search to publications in the ACT Heritage Library, select "ACT Heritage Library" from the dropdown menu at the right of the search bar.
