Canberra Children's Theatre was founded in 1963 to present performances of children's plays in school holidays. Creative drama programs for holidays were initiated in 1967, and in 1972,the incorporated society received its first grant to support full-time activity. The Canberra Children's Theatre was the parent body to The Jigsaw Company, a professional theatre-in-education/community theatre company working from preschool to secondary college level and for adults, and The Canberra Youth Theatre. In 1979, Canberra Children's Theatre became Reid House Theatre.

The collection is arranged chronologically from the first held document to the most recent.
