The Ainslie Tennis Club was formed by local residents in 1928 following the construction of the tennis courts in Corroboree Park, Ainslie.

The Club was formed to manage the use of the courts by the local community with day to day management of the physical maintenance of the courts remaining with the appropriate Commonwealth Department.

The Club was incorporated in 1985.  It was granted a 20 year Crown Lease for the courts in 1992. The Crown Lease was extended for a further 20 years in 2012.
