The residence in the image was built in 1948 by Cyril John and Eva Myrtle Tilyard, who left the Russell Hill settlement to live there. They lived in the residence from 1948 -1960, when it was sold. The house was later bulldozed to make way for NRMA house which was built on 92 and 94 Northbourne Ave. The woman in the image is one of their daughters, Elaine Tilyard.
The architect is believed to be either Kenneth Oliphant or Mr Moya.
