Paul Haugh [pronounced Haw] was born in 1920 in Sydney, and later worked on the land at Tumut, NSW. He studied radio and served in the Merchant Navy during World War 2 as a Marine Radio Officer. He was a radio technician with 2CA Canberra from 1945 to 1980, then worked for Telecom until he retired in 1985. He did voluntary technical work at 1PPP Canberra for the print handicapped and made regular broadcasts with Bill Tully on community radio 2XX in Canberra. In 1988 Paul and his wife Lesley retired to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.In his retirement Paul began writing poetry, and became a member of the Fellowship of Australian Writers, AIFA and Sunshine Coast Writers Group. He was also a founding member of the Poetry and Prose Society Inc. His poems have been published in Australia and in compilations and journals in Scotland and America.
This collection is of his post-retirement writing career, with some personal papers. Very little is dated, and much is in multiple copies.
