Two black and white photographic prints of the Cotter Dam following extension between 1949 and 1951.
The photographs were taken by Horace Staunton, an electrical apprentice with Canberra Electrical Supply, working on the Dam. Mr Staunton's fahter had worked on the original dam construction and was recalled to work on the extension due to his kowledge of the original construction methods.
The photographs were taken from a flying fox above the dam which was used to lower wet concret in big buckets to the dam wall.
