Revolve Ltd was established in 1988 as a community enterprise for resource conservation and job creation in Canberra.
After establishing their first recycling depot at the Mugga Lane Tip in Symonston, the enterprise quickly expanded to Belconnen Tip, with all profits used to further job creation in resource conservation.
Since its inception, the enterprise has saved over 58 million kg of reusable goods from landfill, sold over 62 million individual items, created over 70 green jobs and raised over $600,000 for charity. It continues today as The Green Shed and The Green Shed Underground.
The collection includes an oral history interview conducted by Mary Hutchison with Revolve workers in November 1990 as well as copies of news cuttings, copies of day records, correspondence introducing the initiative to ACT Government and ephemeral items.
