Linda Young, historian and acadmeic, began collecting Christmas catalogues as an annual 'slice' of contemporary material culture in Canberra. The collecting principle was "all advertising that came into our letterbox in November and December each year, regardless of hether it mentioned Christmas or not".
Linda lived at 56 Rosenthal Street, Campbell for the period and has since moved away from Canberra
