Wiltja Co-Operative Housing Society was formed in June 1975 to develop Section 26 Pearce as a medium density housing development, comprising 26 townhouses with associated car parking facilities, landscaping and community facilities. The Society appointed John Dalgarno as architect in March 1976, and registered as a co-operative. The Society was wound up at the end of 1981 due to financial problems.
These papers relate to the establishment of the Society, the plans and construction of townhouses at Wiltja Court, and the financial problems that led to the winding up.
There are also papers specific to the units owned by Ms Joan Buckie and Mrs Joan Killen. They apparently shared the work of managing the construction, landscaping and other matters relating to their units, numbers 1 and 8 respectively. The papers therefore are frequently combined in the files.
