In August 1993, an ACT heritage listed bus shelter on the corner of Schlich and Novar Streets, Yarralumla, was destroyed by fire.
ACTION agreed to assist the Residents' Association have the shelter replaced with a replica but an application for funding through the ACT Heritage Grants was unsuccessful. Seating was provided at the bus stop, but the shelter was not replaced.
