Jenny Gleeson trained as a librarian and worked in the National Library from 1963 to 1972 and as Librarian-in-Charge of the Department of Aboriginal Affairs Libraries from 1973 to 1983. In 1984 she acted as Librarian-in Charge of the libraries of the Department of Home Affairs and Environment, and also became convenor of the Australian Federal Libraries Committee within the Department of Arts, Heritage and Environment. Gleeson joined the Library Association of Australia in 1963 and the ACOA in 1968. The papers in this collection relate chiefly to her period as Vice-President of the ACT Branch of the Library Association of Australia, 1985, and President, 1986. Box List
