Original order of performance for a Pageant titled From Eden to the Bay… we're moving on! A historical pageant depicting the settlement and development of the Far South Coast with original words and music.
Written by A Brice, D Philip, V Brown, J van Oosterhaut and J Retchford in 1988, the Pageant was the brainchild of Val Brown who thought that the story of the settlement and development of the Far South Coast of New South Wales would make a good basis for a Pageant during the Bicentennial celebrations of 1988.
With the assistance of a grant from the Bicentennial Festival Highlights Committee and the support of the Country Women’s Association of New South Wales Far South Coast Group, Val and her two friends, Dot Philip and Ninie Brice of the Narooma Branch of the CWA set about writing the material for the Pageant. The Pageant was performed by CWA Members during the Bicentennial in 1988.
The collection consists of a typewritten order of performance, along with a photocopy of the souvenir booklet created for the Pageant. It was donated to the ACT Heritage Library by Anne Breust, the daughter of Dot Philip, one of the authors of the Pageant.
