The Rotary Club of Canberra East held its inaugural meeting on 23 March 1965. This is probably a photograph of Club members at about that date. The Club members in the black and white print mounted on board are:
Ian Slater, Ken Bishop, Geoff Downs, Viv Rudd, Jack Chandler, Ron Paddison, Ralph Doughty, Bill Ryan, Robbie Ogilvie, Jack Cross, John Howard, Nelson Simpson, Max Marlborough, Bill McHardy, Noel Holmes, John Willemson, George Edwards, Jim Johnson, Jack Bouchier, Trevor Hickey, Alf Gillespie, Bob Wardle, Dud Smith, Keith McDonald and Lou Bourke.
Absent members were Bill Saw, Cyril Smith and Daryl Dwyer.
The black and white photograph is 25x38cm, in a cream mount 42x53cm. The mount is slightly foxed but the photograph is in good condition.
