Bill Bresser, born 1931 in Holland, began sketching Canberra in the mid-1960s, and published his first book of sketches, St Andrew’s, Canberra, in 1970. He has since travelled and sketched throughout Australia, with a draftsman’s eye for architecturally interesting features.

Pencil drawing by Bill Bresser of the Treasury Fountain, sculptures by Norma Redpath. It was installed in the north forecourt of the Treasury Building in 1969. The drawing was made at this time and published in 1971 in his book Canberra Uncovered.
