Home Library Service


Can’t make it to a library but love to read? The library can come to you. The Home Library Service (HLS) is for anyone who isn’t physically able to make it to a branch because of a disability, illness or limited mobility.

To apply to use the HLS you will need a written referral from your doctor, nurse, community worker or the Canberra Blind Society  .

To apply for the Home Library Service for your organisation or residential facility, please complete the online application form for organisations or download a copy of the form (DOC 126.5 KB). For more information about whether or not your organisation can receive the Home Library Service, please contact TCCS.HomeLibrary@act.gov.au or 6207 5748.

You can also use the library website to browse items, request items, and search a wide range of electronic resources including full text magazines and newspapers, and downloadable audio books.
