Free Rapid Antigen Tests available at Libraries ACT branches
The ACT Government is expanding its free Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) program to allow all Canberrans access to free COVID-19 testing.
All Canberrans can now collect free RATs from our Libraries ACT branches (excluding Heritage Library).
It’s important to continue practising COVID Smart behaviours though, and we want to remind the community to only attend your local library if you are feeling well.
The ACT Government has announced upcoming changes to PCR testing.
Canberrans with the following concession cards will be able to access PCR testing at participating pathology centres without a pathology form from 1 March 2023:
- Pensioner concession card.
- Commonwealth seniors’ health care card.
- Health care card (including Low-income health care card).
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs gold, white or orange cards; and
- ACT Government Service Access Card.
The locations of participating pathology centres will be listed on the ACT COVID-19 website.
For those who are recommended to have a PCR test but don’t hold a concession card, PCR testing is available with a pathology form from a GP or Nurse Practitioner.
