From 1991-ca. 1994, the Community Literature Office of the Arts Council of the ACT was placed within the ACT Library and Information Service, based at the Belconnen Library.
Officers, Anne Bolitho and Mary Hutchison developed a Community Literature Collection at the library and developed a number of community writing projects to capture the memories and experiences of Canberrans. In this period, the office published Stories of the Inner South, Unfolding Memories and Groups Walks Around Narrabundah. The Canberra Stories Group developed from this program.
Other activities included exhibitions, talks and readings.
