Join the library

Joining is free and easy. If you live, work or study in the ACT region you are eligible to become a member (please note that we are unable to accept membership applications from interstate or overseas). Simply fill out and submit the form below. You may also join in person at any of Library Locations.

A library card will be posted out to the postal address you specify below. You will then be able to:
Access our Online Resources
Search the Catalogue and request titles to borrow
Request titles to pick up at any of our Library Locations

You must produce your current library card to borrow, request or renew library items. Other proof of identification cannot be used to borrow, and may only be used as proof of identity to replace a lost or stolen card.

The first time you borrow you will need to show proof of identification and proof of address. If you are under 16 years, the signature of a parent or guardian is also required unless you have proof of independent status. As a member you may borrow a variety of library materials including books, DVDs, CDs, and ebooks. Your library card may be used to borrow from any of our Library Locations.
