The ACT Public Library welcomes suggestions for purchase for items to be included in our collections. We receive many suggestions and although we endeavour to fulfil everyone's expectations in providing a balanced and relevant collection for all community members, we cannot fulfil all suggestions. Suggestions are considered by professionals within the context of broad appeal, budgetary considerations and policy guidelines. Please note:

• Completion of the Suggestion for Purchase form is not a guarantee that the item will be purchased.
• Due to the overwhelming volume of suggestions for all types of material, and the time taken to process them, the ACT Public Library cannot notify customers as to whether or not your suggestion has been accepted or declined.
• Enquiries about the status of a suggestion for purchase cannot be answered, and requests cannot be accepted at the time a suggestion for purchase is made.
• Customers who submit a suggestion for purchase are encouraged to keep checking the catalogue and if the item appears, place the request themselves at that time.
