Story time is a session full of stories, rhymes and songs suitable for 3-5 year old children and their parents/carers.
Story time helps develop:
- A love of books and lifelong use of libraries
- Pre-reading skills and a desire to learn to read
- Listening and language skills
- Cooperative behaviour as part of a group
- Understanding of simple concepts
- Imagination and creativity
Story time is held at 10.30 am during school terms, and runs for approximately thirty minutes.
|Wednesday||Kippax, Belconnen, Woden|
|Thursday||Dickson, Gungahlin, Woden|
We are unable to accommodate groups, e.g. preschools and child care centres, at our regular sessions. Groups who wish to visit the library are asked to contact the library in advance to request a specially organised program at a separate time.
