Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander library resources
Libraries ACT acknowledges the Ngunnawal people as the Traditional Owners of the ACT region.
Libraries ACT endorses the National policy framework for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander library services (PDF 4.52 MB) and is committed to implementing the ATSILIRN Protocols 2012. AIATSIS is advising Libraries ACT in this process.
We have books and other items for, by and about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander content and presenters in programs offered to the public. Establishing an Elders-in-residence program is a current initiative.
