Canberra writer and creative-writing teacher Emma Hardman will lead three reading groups in a fascinating series of in-depth literary discussions over 10 sessions in 2008. Emma has selected an interesting collection of books that represent a variety of themes, times, characters, nationalities, styles and genre which are likely to interest participants and trigger stimulating discussions. Cost & Details Three evening groups have been organised. Belconnen Library community room on the 2nd Tuesday of the month commencing 11 March 2008 Civic Library community room on the 1st Thursday of the month commencing 6 March 2008 Dickson Library community room on the 3rd Wednesday of the month commencing 20 February 2008 The groups meet from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Please find an application form here. The 10 sessions cost $120. This is payable in advance. The books will be supplied by ACT Public Library and will be sent to the library where your group meets four weeks before a session date. Early booking is essential to gain a place in the group of your choice. About the Author Emma Hardman accompanied her husband to Canberra and works at Parliament House on Hansard. She published her first book Nine Parts Water this year. It was runner up in the ABC Fiction Award. Emma belongs to the ACT Writer's Centre and teaches creative-writing.
