School Holiday Activities
During the school holidays the library provides a range of activities for primary school aged children. School holiday activities are developed on an ongoing basis and we aim to open bookings for the program approximately 2-4 weeks before the start of each holiday period.
COOL Awards
The COOL Awards are the Children's Choice Book Awards in the ACT. Each year, you have the chance to nominate and vote for your favourite Australian books.
Annual Events
Children's Book Week: Children's Book Week is an event of the Children's Book Council of Australia. It's held in August each year, when many schools and public libraries from all over Australia celebrate books and Australian authors and illustrators. The 2011 Children's Book Week events are now taking bookings.
Summer Reading Club: The Summer Reading Club is a national library program to encourage young people to keep reading over the summer holidays. Watch out for out for cool activities throughout the summer holidays.
Libraries ACT supports the Chief Minister's Reading Challenge
