Library membership is free and gives you access to over 700,000 books, magazines, DVDs, digital books, electronic content, and much more.
If you live, work or study in the ACT region, you are eligible to become a member of the library.
To join the library, simply visit any of our libraries, or complete the online membership form. You will need:

If your card is lost or stolen please contact the library immediately, as you are responsible for all items borrowed on your membership.
To replace your library membership card, you need to visit the library with proof of identity and address. There is a fee to replace lost or stolen cards.
If you join online, a library membership card will be mailed to the postal address you specify within approximately one week. You will then be able to access online resources, search the library catalogue, and request titles. If you later choose to borrow at a library, you will need to show proof of identification and proof of address; and if you are under 16 years of age, the signature of a parent or guardian is also required, unless you have proof of independent status.
