The display has been created by Jenni Kemarre Martinello who is an awar-winning writer, visual artist and photographer of Arrente, Chinese and Anglo-Celtic descent, and Lyndy Delian who is an accomplished visual artist of Koori and Anglo-Celtic descent. Their installation uses screen prints, hand painting, beading, free sewing, quilting, hand sewing and applique to commemorate the strength and resilience of Indigenous women in their fight to keep their families, cultures, communities and traditions strong. They celebrate the diversity ofobjects and artefacts in traditional and contemporary use in ceremonies both community and secret.</description><pubDate></pubDate><guid>http://www.library.act.gov.au/functions/announcements/national_reconcilation_week</guid><link>http://www.library.act.gov.au/functions/announcements/national_reconcilation_week</link></item><item><title>National Simultaneous Story Time</title><description>National Simultaneous Storytime is an important annual national literacy campaign to get more young Australians reading. This year the book being shared is The Very Cranky Bear by Nick Bland.
