Difficulty Accessing?
Access to ACT Virtual Library resources is by library card number, unless otherwise indicated. If you are asked for a Username & Password then there is a problem. You may have a firewall that is blocking you. Here are instructions for ensuring that ACT Virtual Library resources are made 'trusted sites'.
If you still have difficulty accessing these or other ACT Virtual Library resources after following the instructions below, please contact our Customer Information Centre If this problem occurs it may be as a result of a firewall either in XP SP2, or Norton Internet Security (or a similar program). In XP SP2 you will need to either set the resource domain name(s) (List of Domain Names) as trusted sites, or disable the XP firewall. (if you have another firewall running). If you have Norton Internet Security (or a similar program), you will need to setup the resource domain name(s) as trusted sites within that program as well.
