The Richardson family came to Canberra in the early 1960s. Arthur Lincoln Richardson (known as Lin) worked on the first computers for the Department of Defence.

Elizabeth Richardson was a science teacher and active in the Humanist Society and the ACT Branch of the Australian Labor Party. 

The couple regularly hosted Bhutanese students in their home.

The family were active in the community and the university.

3 – 9, 10 – 11 over size PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS
Lin was a keen amateur photographer in both black and white and colour. Approximately half the prints relate to competitive work with Australian Photographic Society and include assessment reports. The other half relate largely to Bhutan.
